The Virtual IREM Summit, October 15-16, has been created to leverage that technology in an all-inclusive event. The networking, educational sessions, tradeshow, and even the social events in this time of social distancing have all been designed to maximize your experience. (And you won’t have to pack a bag.) Themed “inspire 2020,” this year’s event features four business and industry influencers bringing stories of leadership, reinvention, recovery, and change: - Spencer Levy, chairman of Americas Research & senior economic advisor for CBRE, will take the long view—beyond COVID, the presidential election and other outside forces--in his presentation, “The Way Forward.” - In “Welcome to the Energy Revolution” Sara Ross, Chief Vitality Officer at BrainAMPED, will explore the essentials of leadership in pursuit of performance. - Army veteran and Paralympic Silver Medalist John Register will present a true profile in courage with his keynote, “Hurdle Adversity: Amputate Fear and Embrace Your New Normal.” - New York Times Best-Selling Author Ben Nemtin rounds out the keynote presentations by challenging attendees to “Make the Impossible Possible.” Deep-dive sessions for every discipline Some 12 educational sessions are also on deck, providing in-depth intel on all aspects of property management, from Lessons Learned From COVID-19, and a Global Economic Forecast (delivered by NAR’s Lawrence Yun) to tech issues that include Big Data and Benchmarking, and Accelerating Smart Buildings. Specific disciplines within the profession will also get the deep-dive treatment in a wide range of industry roundtables: - Affordable Housing - Conventional Apartments - Industrial - Medical Office - Mixed-Use - Office, and - Retail IREM’s international membership continues to grow, as does Virtual Summit coverage tailored to their needs. This includes sessions on “International Networking” and “Portfolio Management During a Global Pandemic.” Interactive events The Virtual IREM Summit will also provide a rich opportunity for networking and social interaction, even in this era of social distancing. Users can visit the interactive tradeshow to meet and chat with representatives of leading companies to discuss a range of business solutions. You’ll also be able to connect with keynoters John Register and Ben Nemtin through the Summit’s Book It! offerings. And IREM colleagues can meet in the social settings of: - **Bake It!** with butter tarts - **Shake It!** with cocktails - **Sip It!** with wine, and - **Taste It!** with handcrafted chocolates Like all IREM summits, the Virtual IREM Summit has been crafted to touch all the bases: educational issues, operational enhancements, and social networking. It’s almost like being there. ### Leave a comment ## Related posts [![](https://blog.irem.org/hubfs/Untitled%20design-Oct-16-2025-03-17-15-5227-PM.png)](https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2025/06/beyond-experience-why-irem-certified-property-managers-are-the-experts-your-building-needs) [Careers and talent management](https://blog.irem.org/tag/careers-and-talent-management) ### [Beyond experience: Why IREM-certified property managers are the experts your building needs](https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2025/06/beyond-experience-why-irem-certified-property-managers-are-the-experts-your-building-needs) [![](https://blog.irem.org/hubfs/PM-Hire-Blog.png)](https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2022/08/what-to-look-for-in-a-new-property-management-hire) [Human resources](https://blog.irem.org/tag/human-resources) ### [What to look for in a new property management hire](https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2022/08/what-to-look-for-in-a-new-property-management-hire) [![](https://blog.irem.org/hubfs/PropertyCon-1.png)](https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2025/05/from-talent-to-tenacity-insights-from-propertycon-an-irem-education-experience) [IREM news](https://blog.irem.org/tag/irem-news) ### [From talent to tenacity: Insights from PropertyCon: An IREM Education Experience](https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2025/05/from-talent-to-tenacity-insights-from-propertycon-an-irem-education-experience) [![Primary IREM Logo r](https://blog.irem.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Primary%20IREM%20Logo%20r.png?width=2213&height=665&name=Primary%20IREM%20Logo%20r.png "Primary IREM Logo r")](http://www.irem.org) IREM® Headquarters 430 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 750 Chicago, IL 60611 US [facebook-f icon](https://www.facebook.com/InstituteofRealEstateManagement) [linkedin-in icon](https://www.linkedin.com/company/institute-of-real-estate-management/) [instagram icon](https://www.instagram.com/ireminfo/) [Follow us on Facebook](https://www.youtube.com/@IREM_info)   © Institute of Real Estate Management 430 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 700, Chicago, IL 60611 [IREM Harassment Policy](https://www.irem.org/File%20Library/Footer%20Nav/IREM-Harassment-Policy---October-2023.pdf) [Privacy Policy](https://www.irem.org/privacy-policy) [Digital Millennium Copyright Act](https://www.irem.org/digital-millennium-copyright-act) Copyright © 2026, IREM ![](https://px.ads.linkedin.com/collect/?pid=1013802&fmt=gif) ```json { "@context" : "https://schema.org", "@type" : "BlogPosting", "author" : { "@type" : "Person", "name" : "John Salustri", "url" : "https://blog.irem.org/author/john-salustri" }, "dateModified" : "2026-04-01T19:41:43.114Z", "datePublished" : "2020-09-21T05:00:00.000Z", "headline" : "Virtual IREM Summit offers rock-solid industry insight & networking", "image" : [ "https://blog.irem.org/hubfs/virtual-summit-blog.png" ], "mainEntityOfPage" : { "@id" : "https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2020/09/virtual-irem-summit-offers-rock-solid-industry-insight-networking", "@type" : "WebPage" }, "publisher" : { "@type" : "Organization", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://blog.irem.org/hubfs/Primary%20IREM%20Logo.png" }, "name" : "IREM" } } ``` ```json { "@context" : "http://schema.org", "@type" : "Article", "author" : { "@type" : "Person", "name" : [ "John Salustri" ], "url" : "https://blog.irem.org/author/john-salustri" }, "datePublished" : "2020-09-21T05:00:00+0000", "description" : "Join the Virtual IREM Summit for insightful keynotes, deep-dive sessions, and interactive networking opportunities designed for today's property management professionals.", "headline" : "Virtual IREM Summit offers rock-solid industry insight & networking", "image" : "https://22645210.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/22645210/virtual-summit-blog.png", "publisher" : { "@type" : "Organization", "logo" : { "@type" : "ImageObject", "url" : "https://22645210.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/22645210/Primary%20IREM%20Logo.png" }, "name" : "IREM" }, "url" : "https://blog.irem.org/learning/publications-news/blog/irem-blogs/2020/09/virtual-irem-summit-offers-rock-solid-industry-insight-networking" } ```
