Help shape the future of IREM® certifications
On June 30, all IREM members received an email with a unique link to the IREM Professional Development and Certification Value Survey. Please take a few minutes to complete it before the survey closes on July 17.
Your feedback will directly inform IREM’s Strategic Plan: 2026 and Beyond, particularly its professional development goal to advance excellence in real estate management through innovative, accessible, and relevant education, training, and certifications.
IREM is exploring the feasibility of continuing education and recertification requirements for CPM®, ARM®, and ACoM® certifications. No decisions have been made; the survey is designed to understand member perceptions, questions, and priorities before future recommendations are considered.
Your perspective matters, whether or not you hold an IREM certification. Input from members across career stages, global markets, property types, and regions will help ensure future recommendations reflect the full IREM community.
What the survey covers
The survey asks for your input on two related concepts: continuing education and recertification.
Continuing education refers to ongoing learning activities completed after earning a certification to help professionals stay current with industry trends, expand their knowledge, and continue developing professionally.
Recertification is a process some organizations use to periodically verify that certification holders continue to meet professional standards, often through continuing education or other requirements.
This survey is not a vote on a final decision. It’s an opportunity to provide direct feedback that will guide future discussions about IREM certifications and professional development.
How to participate
Watch your inbox on June 30 for an email with your unique survey link. Because each link is individual, there will not be a general public link. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.
Please complete the survey by July 17. Your response will help IREM better understand what members value and how professional development can continue supporting real estate managers worldwide.
